I needed this one.
Summary of things... I don't know really. I've spent a while catching up with the translations. I discovered quite a few oddities on the way.
Anyway, this is One Piece. Back on the NBST.

so, so nice. love to see you give so much personality to the characters, in place of the dead straight translations that end up getting used for most other scanlations. loved the foul-mouthed capone gang bege, kizaru’s chilled-out creepiness and urouge’s piratical vocab. so nice.
loved the foul-mouthed gang bege, the chilled out menace of kizaru, and the piratical swarthiness of urouge. great characterization. brings a tear to my eye.
well, for kizaru, I have only one word: Pimp. you don’t wear that kind of afro and sunglasses and get away being dimly polite about kicking everybody’s ass around. Begue is an obvious mafia boss and Urouge (who is a mystery monk by the bye. no ‘demon’ kanji in there although it is understandable) well… he has that beard and the look of someone who’d talk in that kind of accent…
But it’s nothing special. This is what scanlators are supposed to do. fan work. with a don!
Best One Piece scanlation I’ve ever read. It obviously isn’t 100% faithful to the Japanese version but you really gave the characters personality and it’s much more entertaining to read than the stilted and unnatural dialog in most manga translations.
